National Pet Dental Health Month!
February is National Pet Dental Health Month, and aims to educate and encourage pet owners to understand the importance of their pet’s dental health. Just like humans, poor dental health in pets can lead to other health issues, extreme pain, and potentially expensive procedures or treatments to help rectify the situation. Especially in small and tiny breeds, their mouths are so small and cramped that gingivitis and tartar buildup can happen quickly.
Taking preventative measures is key to staying on top of their oral health. Utilizing dental brushing, dental chews and bones, and staying up-to-date on annual physical exams can help monitor any potential tartar or gingivitis buildup (and any other potential underlying health concerns). That month, our retail special was discounted bully sticks, buffalo horns, and any Raw Bar products. While these in no way replace talking to your vet about routine dental cleanings, dogs chewing on all natural bones, horns, or dental chews can help keep down tartar buildup in between cleanings. Dogs should always be supervised when chewing on products like these. We also carry a dental health probiotic powder that helps support a healthy mouth microbiome; this results in healthier oral tissues and often helps ease bad breath, all while utilizing all natural, clean ingredients!
When your pet does have enough tartar buildup to warrant a dental cleaning, doing the above preventative measures will hopefully keep your pet from needing teeth extractions or extensive tartar removal. Because these procedures are so important, many vet clinics offer discounted dental cleanings during the month of February to advocate for National Pet Dental Health Month. It’s worth reaching out to your vet to see if they are offering any promotional savings!

Monthly Special
February is National Pet Dental Health Month. For all of February, you could get 15% off all bully sticks, water buffalo horns, and anything in the Raw Bar section in our retail. Give your pup a tasty way to help maintain their dental health in between cleanings. If you have any questions about these products, our receptionists are ready to help.
Meet the Staff: Bella
Bella has been a part of the Dog Den family since 2023! You’ve mostly seen her loving on your dogs back in the daycare, but you’ve probably also seen her working at reception and bathing dogs in the grooming department. She can do it all! Some of her strengths include her deep love of the dogs, strong punctuality, welcoming personality, and being a great team-player.
Bella has two dogs named Buddy and Luna, a kitty named Gremlin, and lizards. When she’s not playing with your pups, she enjoys snowboarding, painting, and wood burning. We’re lucky to have Bella as part of our team!
Featured Furry Friend: Bash
This month we want to highlight Bash! This sweet boy has been a long-time client and has been coming since we opened in the summer of 2021. He is a frequent daycare and boarding pup, but has also done grooming with us too; he’s done it all! His family has been a big support to us as we’ve grown and we just love getting to snuggle Bash when he’s here. He’s such a sweet boy with his wispy little eyebrows and we’re grateful his parents trust us with their special little guy.
Bash started with a lot of general anxiety, but he has become more confident the longer he’s come (even though his favorite thing is still to see his mom and dad at pickup). He gets excited to see the kennel techs and as he’s gotten older, his favorite thing to do is cuddle with the techs on the Senior Lounge couch. While it’s a bittersweet thing to see our long-time clients start to get slightly powdered sugar faces, it’s just a reminder to us that we’ve gotten to love on them year after year.

Did You Know?
We are offering after-hours daycare
Introducing Date Night! Once a month, we offer after-hours daycare for those who want to enjoy a date night and need somewhere for their pup to go. That month it was hosted on Saturday, February 14th, perfect for celebrating Valentine’s Day. Drop-offs from 6:00-6:30 pm, pick-ups every hour until 10:00 pm. Your dog plays with their furry friends while making a special craft to take home, all for only $25.
We had an exclusive Valentine’s Day sale
For a limited time, you could get 15% off anything in our retail that’s pink or red! This applied to toys, treats, food, and more. The flash sale ran from February 12th-16th, the perfect time to treat your pup for Valentine’s Day.
Your dog can get bully sticks at a discounted rate
We ran a deal for $5 off a 3-pack of Raw Dog 12″ Bully Sticks. Raw Dog’s bully sticks are a great option for chewers; these can provide teeth scrubbing, mental stimulation, and a tasty treat all in one. These particular bully sticks have low odor control, meaning your pup gets a yummy snack without you having to smell it! All bully sticks, bones, and horns should be supervised when being given to your pup.
We have a referral program
Receiving referrals from current clients is one of the highest compliments we can receive! As a thank you, anyone who refers a new grooming client will get $10 credited towards their next grooming appointment. Anyone who refers a new daycare or boarding client will get a free daycare day or boarding night credited to their account. Make sure to give us the new client’s first and last name as verification so we can make sure you get your thank-you gift. If you have any questions about this, please ask our receptionists.
